A GREAT MOTORCYCLE HISTORY Moto Laverda has characterized itself in its history as an eclectic, innovative and audacious company, careful to follow the passion of lovers of two wheels, quick to get back into question and develop the most diverse products: from the utilitarian bikes, fast but reliable from the '50s, the mighty maxi of the' 60s and '70s that inflamed the duration competitions, to finish the powerful and innovative 125 of the 80s. Founded on October 13, 1949 by Francesco Laverda, Moto Laverda was born in Breganze, in the province of Vicenza, as a company for the production of motorcycles. At the end of the Sixties, Massimo Laverda, son of the founder Francesco, gave an important turning point to the range of the Breganze brand, pushing the company's production towards a higher displacement motorbike. Already in 1966 the presentation of the Laverda 650 cc. is welcomed by the public but the great success comes in the seventies with the Laverda 750 which, exported around the world, gives way to a very successful series of sports bikes that create the myth around the brand of Breganze. In 1970 the Laverda 750 SF series was born, which came up until 1976, when the market demand turned towards higher displacement than the one that, until then, had classified Laverda SF as the queen of the maxi sport. Of great stylistic impact, with the orange color, the Laverda SFC, competition version, from 1968 to 1976 they collect a large series of victories in the sporting challenges reserved for series motorcycles, from the 1968 Motogiro d'Italia to regularity and speed races in all of Europe. Since the mid-seventies, the production of maxi bikes with a displacement of 1000 and 1200 has been intensified, even if, by design, the idea of ??a 1000 was born at the end of the Sixties at the same time as the SF 750. The production of Laverda 1000 with different versions, from 3 CL at the Jota arrives until the late eighties.
