For Sale is my Porsche 944 S2 in Retro Champagne. This is a rare non - sunroof model inclusive of cherished plate OIJ 944 valued at £1200.

The car was registered in Feb 1991 and has covered 119000 miles with 8 previous owners.
UST HAD A HPI DONE BY PROSPECTIVE BUYER AND AN OLD NUMBER PLATE WAS RECORDED AS A WRITE-OFF. HENCE PRICE CHANGE.
Currently under investigation as this was checked online by the RAC before purchasing myself and nothing was recorded. The HPI check shows that the Car was a total loss under a different registration but after the alleged incident date, the car was MOT'd months after on the same plate. I am 99% certain this was not a write-off, however proving such is currently where I am at.
The car was due to be sold today but sadly given the marks against the history the updated price is reflective of the current situation.
The investigation will be ongoing with previous owners to determine the facts relating to the cars history.
I have owned the car for the past 3 years. I bought It initially as a minor project for when I would be on long term leave following my trips offshore. I have spent over £5000 refining all the mechanical elements. My intention was then to finish on the exterior with a full respray.
The car drives and starts perfectly, the only reason for sale is a new baby on the way which means new house. On the Birth of Baby 1, I managed to hold on to it, Baby 2 – well something has to give!!!
It pains me to sell given how much time and effort spent on the car and I’m sure the new owner will enjoy the car as much as I have. I really just don’t have the time it deserves, last year although it has been run all year it covered less than 300 miles. Car is always Garaged.
These really are shooting up in value and it just needs a little TLC to become a fantastic example and a truly sought after appreciating classic.
I have a certificate of Authenticity from Porsche with an Official Valuation of £12500.
I am realistic and don’t expect the car to realise this figure this year at least….

The belts and tensioners, water pump etc has recently been carried out by an Independent Porsche Specialist.
The interior is in excellent condition and has an unmarked re-trimmed interior, all dials, buttons and switches work as they should. The car is also fitted with a fully function immobiliser and alarm system.

Sills will require attention as starting to bubble
Wing quarters (bottom where meets sill) will require attention
The car would benefit from a respray once the sills have been done to make it a fantastic example as there is a few dents and lacquer peel.
Drivers side fog light lens cracked.
Scripted handles were polished, there is pitting and will require polishing.
Original D90’s are in fantastic condition with no curbing, however these are the polished variety and could benefit from a machine polish.
