I bought this van recently for £6000, but it has a running fault with the engine. It either needs some money spent on it or in the right hands it could be a great project, but it's not something I have the time/ skills to take on, hence the low selling price. The body work is in very good order for a 1982 van, with no rust underneath. It has had anti-rust paint applied. The paint work is not perfect as the previous owner kept on top of any rust bubbles but has painted over with a cream that does not quite match - better than rust though. The engine is a new engine for the van, a golf mark 3, so when it is running well it will be pretty nippy. The inside has been well looked after with original features - pop top with hammocks for 2, and seatbelts in the back for 2 passengers. Gas cooker, pump tap, separate electric fridge, underfloor heater, table, van cover. It has just had new break pipes.
MOT'd until mid September 2019. The odometer is not working so the 71000 on the clock is not reliable. That said, the previous owner for 6+ years drove it very occasionally.
Work that needs to be done on the engine includes replacing the clutch as it is slipping, looking at the wiring, water pipes and intake trunking.
