Description
I am currently offering for sale my 1983 Volvo 360 GLT. This is the top of the range model of the 300 series that was available to the UK. This car was first registered in May 1983 and has 2 former keepers, the first being the company who purchased the car new. And the last keeper being the owner from mid 1986 to July 2018.
MOT is valid until 25 Feb 2020 with the only advisories being:
2x slightly perished rear shock absorber bottom rubbers.
Slight corrosion on rear Brake line.
Slight play in OS & NS Steering rack ends.
Unfortunately the service history is absent but it is clear from the way this car runs and drives it has been very much looked after.
The car is in the much sought after Gloss Black. It does have minor paint defects but for a 36 year old car the paint work is surprisingly very good. It has two very minor dents on the bonnet but all other panels are straight and solid. It does have a slightly matt finish to half the roof panel (offside) and rear quarter panel, due to a minor mishap in a local garage that the previous owner took it to that he informed me about. The boot lid was badly damaged in the incident and had been replaced with a later type boot lid and spoiler. This was removed and a newly painted original boot was put on the car that really takes it back to original.
The car also has:
VGC 5x Leo Alloy Wheels
New front calipers and discs.
New fuel filter.
New Air Filter.
New exhaust Down pipe.
New Tie rod arm mounts and bushes.
The interior is spotless with no tears rips or burns in the seats and all door panels and fixtures and fittings are intact and present. The sun roof needs adjustment but I am reluctant to open it as they can be a bit finicky to adjust and get waterproof again.
It had previously been welded quite badly in some areas. The worse patches have been removed and replaced to a high standard. The car runs and drives like a new vehicle and has no rattles or noises and feels very responsive on the road.
In summary I have been as honest as possible in the description and can answer any further questions you may have. This car is as original as they come and is in an unmodified condition. It does need minor TLC but with this in mind, it is the perfect oppurtunity to own a bit of Volvo motoring heritige.
