First registered in February 1966, having been sold brand new by Devonshire Motors Ltd of Barnstaple, this delightful time-warp example is in almost the same condition in which it left the factory. It has never been restored or welded, and has never needed to be. It is in absolutely splendid condition and is probably the most original car we have seen for many years. The first owner had the car from 1966 to 1988; the second from 1988 to 2015 and the third owner has had the car until now. Everything is excellent including paintwork, upholstery, headlining, panel-fit, and the underside, which is as clean as a whistle. The chrome work is like new and the tyres have been replaced in recent years because of their age. The history file includes the original sales invoice from 1966, MOT certificates, original instruction manual/ handbook, and service booklet with dealer stamps. The car drives just as you would expect for a 36, 000 mile car, and performs very well. It starts easily and ticks over like a sewing machine once warmed up a little. This is an ideal car for a collector or as a potential class or show-winner, but we would really love to sell it to someone who would cherish it and use it regularly - that's what it deserves. (Its last agreed insurance value in 2016 was for £20, 000)
