Completely rebuilt from the chassis upward in 1999 by an Engineer Enthusiast. He rebuilt the engine and 4 speed gearbox, also overhauled everything including a new wiring loom. The engine has now been converted to run on unleaded fuel. It has had a full respray, progress photos are available. Brakes have been refurbished and all 5 wheels have been powder coated. This car as never been driven in wet conditions,
These vehicles have an aluminium body and glassfibre wings and running board, so are easy to maintain.
This vehicle is listed as an Historic vehicle so is exempt from an mot or tax. Also it's cheap insurance.
The split bonnet is secured with traditional square brass T keys, overall condition is good, carpets could do with a clean,
Everything works - speedo, rev counter, oil pressure, clock and temperature gauge. Even the heater works.
Please remember that this is a 57 year old vehicle, and does not drive like a modern one. There is no power steering although the steering is light. It has drum brakes all around - No discs, so it stops correctly, just slower than a modern car. This is a 1200 engine with a steel chassis, so not quick. It sounds Great, it turns heads, and is flashed by every Mg you meet. Also by other old vehicles you meet.
