Completely dis-assembled. Frame number T H 3480. Engine: 8 5H 8267. Gearbox: T E 8236. Am told by UK Triumph expert who emailed ".... you have the remains of a 1938 Triumph 5H. The engine you have (8267) perfectly matches frame TH 3480 and undoubtedly belongs to it. In fact I have another fairly close (TH 3457) on my register also exported to NZ so probably the same batch. Both would have been exported around April of 1938. Gearbox TE 8236 is also correct for TH 3480 although there is a lot of latitude on gearbox numbers ...."
The factory records were destroyed in WW2. What is missing that I know of is .... front mudguard, dynamo, instruments in tank panel, speedo etc., speedo cable points & cover. The front frame lug under headstock is half cut away, would need rebuilding.
