Description

This is my much loved Laverda 750 SF3 which I have owned since June 2010. And for the avoidance of doubt it has matching Frame and Engine numbers.

Initially this bike was Slater Brothers own demonstrator and they were the first registered owner (1/ 7/ 1977). It was then sold in 1978 and the new owner kept it for approximately 30 years. The next owner kept it for just under 2 years and then I bought it and I am the 4th owner.

I have the original hand written bill of sale from Slaters, plus correspondence between them and the new owner.

This bike was also used to illustrate the engine number location in Tim Parker's Twin and Triple Repair and Tune-up Guide.

The mileage is currently around 25, 500 which I believe to be true given the low number of owners and the 20 MoT certificates I have. I applied for the Historic Vehicle status in May 2018 and the V5C has been updated to reflect this. It means it is now MoT exempt and Vehicle Tax is free.

Things done in my ownership (in addition to general servicing/ oil changes/ valve clearances etc):
New Bridgestone BT45's and new tubes
New Odyssey PC680 AGM battery in 2016
New modern blade fuse box (original included)
New modern solid state flasher relay as the original one seemed to flash faster with increasing revs (original included)
New handlebar mounted mirrors from Laverda Paradies (replicas of originals) - note the throttle grip has been cut to take a bar end mirror. This is how it came to me. I have been using it with foam baja grips but have now put the previous grips back on. The bar end mirror that it came to me with is also included
New balance pipe clamp (under engine) from Laverda Paradies
New Chrome filler cap
New Laverda stamped silencers (pea shooter type)
New NGK Iridium spark plugs
New magnetic sump plug (original included)
Seat recovered by RK Leighton (original cover in good condition included)
Seat base blasted and powder coated
I have used a rack from an earlier SF model to act as a grab rail. I had it modified and rechromed. The rack part which is not used is also included.

In addition the following has also previously been done:
A Laverda fully enclosed chain case has been fitted (this was bought from Slaters as it is on one of their receipts). The original chain guard is included.
The clutch actuating arm has been lengthened to lighten the clutch action. You can see this on one of the pictures. I thought this was a factory modification, or maybe carried out by Slaters but I cannot be sure.
Converted to electronic ignition (original parts included to return it to original if required).
There is a mass of receipts covering the last 40 years or so. Many from Slaters, but also from Motalia, Laverda Paradies, Miura Engineering, Todd Laverda, Clark Laverda and others. There is also a collection of some of the old tax discs. Also included the Laverda 750 SF 1 - 2 Operation and Maintenance Manual sold by Motalia which includes the spare parts list.

The bike starts on the button and runs as it should, and is in extremely good condition as per the pictures.

I am located near to Lichfield in the UK.
