The Goodwood was a Limited Edition model featuring Full Black Leather interior, Wooden Momo Steering Wheel & gearnob, Unique door cards, Clarion CD system, Goodwood Green paintwork unique badges and chrome body trim inserts.
Now only 34 left on UK roads – and this includes the less-desirable 5 door model.
It’s very rare that a 3 door Goodwood comes up for sale.
I have owned this Goodwood for several years and had all works carried out by professional mechanics, so it’s not a DIY car. I have a huge number of detailed photos - from the day I bought it, during restoration and the present.
I bought the car with very minor damage. It had a small crease in the o/ s headlamp panel, a broken spotlight and a crack in the front bumper. That’s all – NO damage to the wings, bonnet or inner wings whatsoever. Having spoken to the owner at the time, it happened in the snow at 10 mph.
For this reason, sadly it was declared ‘Cat C’, as they were unable to source the parts to repair it. However, I managed to get hold of the parts and have had the repairs professionally carried out.
I have spent several thousand in the past few years, and here’s just some of the work done –
Professionally Rebuilt engine – Full engine strip, Re-honed bores, New Main Bearings, Big End Bearings, Oil Pump, Cambelt and Water Pump. Gas Flowed Head and valves reground. All new gaskets, plugs, oils, seals, belts etc. New complete clutch. It now needs carefully running in.
Professionally fitted new OEM Headlamp panels x2 and front lower cross member. Rust found at front of inner wings, so this was cut out and rectified. Entire engine bay professionally sandblasted and repainted.
Replaced front bumper with all 4 spotlights fully working.
New OEM radiator
New Battery
New Discs and Pads F&R
New Calipers
New rear Shocks
Stainless exhaust system
Currently fitted with K&N filter, but comes with the original Airbox and pipework
Immobiliser system fitted
Electric Windows and Power Steering
Central locking working perfectly – and same key for doors and ignition

Anything left to do??
To make it spotless, it would benefit from the bonnet, roof and tailgate repainting. As with most of 80/ 90’s French cars, the lacquer can peel and turn cloudy. It comes with a rust-free bonnet to paint and fit.
The Rev Counter isn’t working
The tyres have lots of tread, but they are old. Replacements are very cheap.
Externally the car is really decent and correct. It does have a few parking dings and chips, but it’s very tidy – especially considering it’s 27 years old!
An immaculate 3 door Goodwood would fetch £10K +++, so this is a real bargain.
