My little Aronde has had a thorough check, front to rear and anything not right was corrected.
Some of the items rectified include:- timing chain and sprocket, radiator cleaned, flushed and tested. Heater clean, flushed and tested. Front crank oil seal, carb insulator and heat shield. Major service. All ignition parts replaced, exhaust re hung, propshaft UJ replaced. Passenger window mechanism freed off, front seat rebuilt with new foam and wadding.
The result is a charming little car that is now very reliable, drives well, keeps up with the traffic and is very comfortable.
Supplied new by Cyril Copperwheat in Bedfordshire, the car retains its original registration number on the original cast digit number plates.
The low mileage is absolutely genuine.
The original keys are still with the car.
The tyres and battery are all new.
It’s in beautiful condition all round and is very original, inside, outside and underneath.
The engine is a 1290cc 4 cylinder ohv, known as the “Flash”.
It runs superbly, drives exceptionally well and is very quiet and smooth.
I have a box full of history, brochures, manuals and handbooks, along with the old sales invoice, original log book etc.
I have a genuine reason for selling the car ( I’m too tall for it !!) and would happily consider a swap with cash either way for a classic car I can actually sit upright in!. Doesn’t have to be a big car as long as there’s enough headroom.
