The Honda inspire was introduced in 1989 as a direct competitor the the Nissan laurel and Toyota Cresta. The first inspire was based on the cb5 accord chassis and badged ‘Accord inspire’. Following a Japanese recession in 1990, the updated CC2 chassis was introduced in 1992 and renamed ‘Inspire’.
I imported this car personally. Auction grade is 4, one owner from new in Japan.
The car arrived in Oct 2018 and was only recently fully U. K. registered in July 2019 following extensive work by myself - details ** below. MOT is July 2020.

When I picked the car up from the port there were four faults - a scratch on front bumper,
brake lights stuck on, cruise control fault and an engine misfire under load.

Cam belt and tensioner,
All relevant and associated bolts, hardware, gaskets and seals replaced,
Valve clearance check to factory manual guidance,
New coolant,
Engine oil and filter.
New Honda Cruise control activation switch (operated by brake pedal. Fixed cruise control and brake light fault)

NGK racing JDM silicone ignition leads,
NGK platinum spark plugs,

(Misfire fixed).
New continental alternator, power steer & A/ C aux belts.

The car has been factory undersealed. All brake calipers, carriers, disc backing plates and suspension components have been given a chemical resistant clear coat by me to preserve the factory cadmium and satin black finishes
Factory Enkei 15” alloys professionally refurbished and powder coated -sparkle silver.

Speedo and odometer still reads in km/ h.
I decided not to repair the scratch on the bumper.
There is not a single rust patch or blemish anywhere. Paint micrometer readings from around the car would suggest the car has never been painted.
The condition of the car all round is exceptional for 26 years old and the pictures alone are not enough to justify condition. Seeing is believing. Having worked on it since last October I decided that personally, it is too nice for me to use as a daily driver, so offering it for sale.
I have covered 277km to confirm completion of all work I carried out. I have confirmed the cam belt tension and there are no noises or issues requiring attention. This is exactly how I wanted it to be, having planned to keep and use it. Power is plenty and it cruises near silent. In the short time I used it there was a lot of interest. People asking questions, taking pictures etc. DVLA advised only 2 are registered in the UK and one licensed (must be this one) making it a rare car indeed.
Also included with the car is all relevant Japanese and U. K. documentation. I also have a Honda factory service and repair manual in English and a Honda dealer brochure in Japanese.
