Auctioneers Notes: Slipping over the border from Dorset into Somerset I went to view a most interesting and rare Mini. Not only is the providence excellent, but the mileage is extremely low at 32, 354 and she is in superb condition. The “Rover Mini British Open Classic “ was made for a very short period and I am told that only 1000 were produced. The interior is totally original and in superb original condition. The seats are half leather with tweed inserts, the tags showing that are still attached to the cloth. The electric sunroof covers nearly all the roof and works as it did when it left the factory. The history of this lovely car includes the original book pack and service book, which has 9 stamps. UK Gov MOT history from 2005 to the present day. There are invoices including one for £352. 85 for a new rear subframe in 07, mileage 24, 978 and the history log written by the previous owner to the vendor shows all the previous owners (4 owners including the vendor). The gentleman who wrote this log purchased her in September ’94 and sold it to the vendor in 2018. The reason for sale is lack of use. The log starts in ’92 for the first 1000 mile service with all the mileages recorded throu out its live life and the vendor has carried on that tradition up to the present moment. She comes with spare keys and the car will be with us as from the 20th September. Please ring for an appointment to view.
