Kawasaki GT550. 80's classic. Just been MOT's with no advisories. recent oil engine oil, shaft oil change, and valve clearances set. Recent new battery which is fitted with an Optimate charging lead (they are a pig to charge otherwise)
Starts on the button (cold or hot), engine runs and sounds sweet and smooth - as do the gears. Everything works as it should. Its original and unmolested.
Cosmetically i would describe it as clean and good for its age. Bad points: There is a dent in the tank and the headlight surround has a small crack (see pictures). Some surface rust on the chassis and frame but its totally solid, even in front of the back wheel (where they normally go). front tire has a slow puncture so it loses pressure over a few days
Comes with full luggage which locks and has a key. Easy to take off the frame and luggage of to sell separately but i haven't got the time so its sold with the bike
Would make a great base for a showroom restore or can be used straight away as a reliable commuter or sunday bike
