1974 VW Passat Coupe for sale.
Here we have an incredibly rare Passat B1.
LHD, imported from Europe and first registered in the UK in 2017, it's had just the one UK keeper.
1. 3 54hp with a 4 speed manual gearbox.
The car is of course MOT and TAX exempt but has an MOT until July 2020 anyway.
The car is very presentable and easy to drive. It gets attention where ever it goes and people never know what it is! Always surprised to hear it's a Passat!
Been fitted with some attractive alloys of a MK2 Golf GTi, the original steel wheels are included too.
The Bodywork.
Looks absolutely amazing in this colour, it really suites the car down to the ground.
It is 45 years old now and the overall condition does disguise this.
There's no signs of bad rot or large amount of filler.
Overall a thoroughly presentable odd car with glossy paintwork.
It's far from mint though, the paintwork has a few little cracks in it, a bit of microblistering on some panels and a few tiny bubbles here and there. If I was to keep the car I'd get the bootlid repainted as it has a few bad scratches on it.
Hopefully though, as can be seen in the photos she is a great looker on the whole, it's onlt on close inspection you start to notice little things.
The whole car is solid underneath with no concerns. The car has been waxoiled underneath.
The Interior.
Pretty original and nothing to go wrong!
The seats aren't in the best condition hence the fluffy covers, they really make the interior a pleasent place to be though.
The dash top has some typical sun cracks though.
The Drive.
Starts, runs and drives really well.
It is fun to pilot, keeps up with modern traffic despite its modest power output.
The car has benefitted from loads of new parts over the last 12/ 18 months or so and hasn't really left the car needing anything else for a while. Next job would be to sourse and fix a small oil leak, I think from the front of the cam cover, easy enough.
What the car is, is a 45 year old vintage car that is ready to jump in and drive away anywhere you want it to go.

Comes with V5c, MOTs, letters relating to registering the car in the UK and loads of invoices for parts purchased.
