This car is a 1974 Rover P6 2200Sc. We took it in against a more expensive P6 and are offering it here as a “part exchange to clear” although it is ready to be used. It is running and driving very well and is presentable condition although there is room improvement. Two years ago, £1100 was spent on various repairs and more recently it has had a new water pump and it has also been fitted with new rear calipers (at least £800). The underside is in good, solid order and the upper body is rust free with the exception of one small scab on the rear scuttle panel. The interior is serviceable and the box-pleat leather is in generally good order although the PVC sections at the top of the rear seats require repair. The engine, gearbox, clutch and brakes are all functioning well and it goes very well.
On a less positive note it has had a budget re-paint which is “average” at best with various imperfections and there are a couple of shallow dents in the roof, which is fitted with a glass aftermarket sunroof.
Although this car is less than perfect it’s a go anywhere classic and offers a very inexpensive entry into the classic scene – please call if more detail is required.
