We are delighted to present for sale this smart Series 3, presented in rare light pastel green with limestone wheels and roof combination.
Externally, this Series 3 has lots of period features - the bonnet mounted spare, rear lifting handles, rear mudflaps, vintage numberplates and new front galvanised bumper. Some modern comforts have been added - a towpack to allow towing and larger defender-style door mirrors for additional rear visibility. A set of road-biased 750 tyres have been fitted to give the effect of an overdrive, which is handing for keeping up with modern traffic and reducing cruising RPM's and cabin noise.
On the inside, there are three standard seats, with a deluxe carpeting set fitted throughout, with deluxe matting on top of this. This ensures a more insulated cabin and reduces noise, whilst also giving a premium feel. The dash has been insulated for winter use and to give a more luxurious feeling inside - as good as one can expect for a Series 3! The rear is unfitted and houses a load mat to the floor. Rear bench seats could be added for £295 fitted, to allow seating for seven occupants including the driver.
Out on the road, this vehicle provides a pleasing period driving experience, with a more comfortable cruising experience over standard thanks to the larger rubber and sound deadening. It stops and goes just as it should.
