This is a very special Capri and will stand proud in any classic car collection. It is 100% complete and does not have anything missing. You will be hard pushed to find an Capri in this condition with such provenance.
One elderly lady owner from new. Besides having paintwork which was not bad to start off with i had it done as I wanted the car to look perfect, there is no rust or filler, the car is totally original/ matching numbers car, all panels, strut tops, archers, bumpers, lights, interior, glass are original. one original key and locks, Alloy wheels have never been refurbished.
Underneath is very solid, never been welded and nor does it need any.
This car has not been restored or modified. It is still running on its original carburettor.
Everything works very well. Even the heater works on both speeds.
It is very easy and comfortable to drive due to the very rare factory PAS.
Supplied new to Mrs Olga Marguerite Shirtcliffe on the 7th of April 1987 by T. C Harrison (FORD of Sheffield). Low mileage of 58000 miles. Original service book with supplying Ford dealer service history. Original book pack with all manuals. Original bill of sale. Original logbook. Original supplying dealer number plate on the rear of the car. Original engine bay stickers. Converted by Ford to run on unleaded fuel with a letter from Ford to verify.
Very rare factory power steering.
Factory fitted tilt/ slide sunroof. Upgraded Ford digital stereo. Bronze tinted glass. Leather steering wheel. Refurbished spare alloy with brand new tyre. Original Ford mud flaps front and rear. Matching tyres all round.
Rear seatbelts fitted. The interior, headlining, seats and carpets are in beautiful condition – it has not had a need to be valeted.
It retains its original parcel shelf which is uncut and in excellent condition.
Although the car was running and driving and did not need recommissioning, I had the car fully serviced at the last MOT. The timing belt was replaced with a full gates kit and water pump. All the fluids were renewed, and a brand-new battery was installed. In addition to this, the engine was removed, and the bay was painted. There is an invoice for £988. 59 for this work.
Once again, I cannot emphasise how good the condition and the originality of the car is. It must be seen in the flesh. Car has a valid mot till 04/ 03/ 2021, no advisories
