Description
This vehicle underwent a full body restoration in-house between 2003 and 2005. Complete paint and interior with some electrical and mechanical repairs. It is a numbers matching vehicle as verified by the Daimler Registry in the UK. This 1961 SP250 has the "b-style ladder frame" - Less prone to cracking than the other A and C frames and is in great condition.
The SP250 sports the original Daimler 2. 5L Hemi V8, Borg Warner Transmission (4spd no OD) and weighs in at only 2000LBS. With 140hp it was one of the fasted cars of its time. SP250’s were even used by certain police forces in the UK as an Interceptor because of their speed.
Interior has been reupholstered with lambskin, very soft and smooth compared to cow hide. All gauges were refurbished and steering wheel replaced.
Exterior shows very well, with only minor swirls visible in the paint. The car remains in great condition having been mostly in storage since 2010. The Daimler badge was removed from the front as per an original request of the client. There are no considerable scratches or dents or cracks to note.
