We are delighted to present for sale this ex-military 90, in popular soft-top configuration. Genuine and original ex-MOD 90s are becoming harder to find and this one is certainly one of the best of the breed.
Externally, there are lots of period features such as the bonnet mounted spare, rear bumperettes, towball and electrics, ‘twist’ military lenses, black wheel arches, aluminium door tops (to protect against corrosion) and a recent canvas, in the correct sand colour. 750 tyres are fitted to give additional gearing and a stronger stance. In all, this makes for a very standard looking ex-MOD 90 – just what we like to see.
The interior houses two outer deluxe highback seats with integrated headrests, with a middle seat to match. Deluxe matting is fitted to the footwells, and the rear has a load mat to the floor. The rear is unfitted, and is a handy storage area. A rollcage has been fitted to protect against any rollover accidents.
Out on the road is really where this 90 shows its worth – the larger tyres give a nice, long fifth gear to aid with reducing cabin noise and aiding fuel economy. The power steering makes for a lovely experience, whether out on the road or manoeuvring into a tight parking space! There are lots of nice new parts fitted, such as the new exhaust – which makes it sound great too. It has also had a recent battery, meaning that it should start in all weathers with ease.
In summary, if you are looking for a well-sorted (and sought after) Land Rover® 90 then this could be for you. With the added bonus of the power steering, it is far easier to live with than most – and with ex-military looks, we think it looks cool too!
