MASSEY FERGUSON 148 RARE MODEL 1972 TRACTOR

Massey Ferguson 148 in excellent working order with full cab, rare model not often available, ready to use or restore, will happily go to work today. Been laid up for 5 years and just a had new oil and filter ready for new owner.
Starts instantly, even from cold on a frosty morning with no heat or help, runs very well, no smoke when pushed hard, good oil pressure on working gauge. All the gears select in high & low ranges, standard gearbox, the clutch is smooth with no judder. Brakes are very good and well balanced, the handbrake works, needs oiling, bit stiff. Steering is good with nominal play, steady at speed without wagging the wheel.
Lift arms and PTO operate with good hydraulic pressure, the arms need putting to work, bit slow going down. Modern tipper pipe fitted and all the hitch bracket, just needs a drawbar. Has optional foot throttle, which works well, the hand throttle is stiff to move. Tyres are all good, a little worn but no slows or leaks.
Cab, wings and tin work are all straight and mostly solid with just some scabs on the wings where the support struts are located and at the bottom of the windows. Both cab doors click shut and stay shut, they’ve even still got the original grab handles. All the lights work, side and head lights, indicators and even the dash light. Original tacho still fitted and working with 7435 hours. Wiper not currently working.
ID plate present showing correct serial number with 148 prefix, currently no log book and not road registered, we can advise the buyer on the process of registration, easy enough with help.
We are not claiming this is a totally original, pristine condition, one owner tractor, we are selling a rare model Massey, in good all round order, you can take away today and work with.
