This beautiful Saab 9000 is reluctantly for sale - due to health issues. (Car V5 is fully registered in my name and address)
I WILL Consider sensible offers for a quick sale to genuine buyer
I purchased it last year and My plan was to use it in Summer - but I will have no time for cars this year so all my cars and related bits are going to be for sale.
Saab 9000 CDE Griffin 1996 2. 3 FPT Auto 145000. MOT to 18 November 2020
Main owner had it for 18 years and it was sold last year when he passed away.
It was purchased by a Saab 9000 enthusiast a year or so ago - who did some work on it to make it the excellent example that it is.
Service History was lost when the main owners belongings where being sorted. - so just a few invoices.
Last invoice was from a main (Hyundai) dealer and for £865 (including service, new centre exhaust and rear anti roll bar bushes).
The overall condition of the car excellent so there can be no doubt is has been well cared for.
The 9000 enthusiast that I bought it from last year - told me :-
"After buying it I wrote to the previous owner for and very generously received a phone call from his widow of three weeks. She confirmed that he had indeed cherished the car and had it serviced annually (Hyundai agent, used to be Saab main dealer) and that it was stood in his garage after he was forced to give up driving in the summer of 2015 due to ill health. and she had inadvertently thrown away the remaining history and paperwork."
He then did Alot of work himself on it :-
Before putting it through its MOT in 2019 the following work was carried out:-
Drained fuel tank
Replaced fuel filter, engine oil and filter, ATF fluid, spark plugs.
Drained, flushed and refilled coolant.
Replaced the T5 APC valve with T7 and had stage 1 remap carried out to approx 225 bhp.
I have been underneath the car seeking out and treating any rust and undersealing. At the rear nearside wheel arch the paintwork was affected so there is a very small area of respray here.
The air conditioning was regassed in August before a thousand mile trip to Kyle of Lochalsh in Scotland. The car ran flawlessly. All the Griffin features are working well including the original CD player (6 CD changer in the spare wheel well in the boot)
Couple of negatives are a very small cut on the base of the drivers seat and a scrape/ dent on the bottom of the front nearside wing.
It is an EXTREMELY lovely and RARE Car that has been cared for by its last owners.
I am only selling due to Health issues, and as we all know they are best being run rather than sat outside for years, and as I have 5 cars (inc 3 Saabs) some have to go.
NOTE the car is not insured and it is SORN - I am happy for you to drive it if you bring proof of fully comprehensive insurance. but I am sure the condition when you view will be all you need.
Car is to be collected from HD8 Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
