This specific 500SL presents extremely well. In her original configuration with all the bells and whistles possible for 1985. Also in 1985, the Bosch KE Jetronic was fitted. The KE Jetronic system varied from the earlier, all mechanical system by the introduction of a more modern engine management "computer", which controlled idle speed, fuel rate, and air/ fuel mixture. She has a powerful 5. 0 V8 with an automatic transmission - this might sound like a gas guzzling monster, although it isn’t. She is a comfortable cruiser on the long road as well as around town.
The auto transmission is as smooth as a brand new Mercedes and the motor is perfectly balanced, running exceptionally well.
The paint and body is perfect and straight as an arrow. Same for the colour coded hard top.
As for the interior, this cannot be flawed. It is in perfect condition with not a single tear, crack or imperfection. The black soft top is perfect.
The rims are correct and tyres brand new.
All of her electronics and interior lights work the way they were intended. Same for the original radio and antenna.
She unfortunately has no books sold with her. The speedometer works and the car has clocked a mere 235000km and was maintained and preserved in a collectors garage the past couple of years.
This is a true gem with nothing to spend. Fit for any collector.
