1975 Austin Mini built by Austin "Authi" in Pamplona (Spain). Originally a Mini 1000 cc and restored as a 1275 GT (Spanish version), but keeping the original engine, limited to 1078 cc. Car is on UK registration in my name and has an English MOT
Been with my family for about 12 years. Restored by a Mini restoration company in the UK I have 100’s of photos
Engine was rebuilt and restored by Craft classics to a “Road Race” engine. (1078cc which was way over £7000) including:
Cooper crankshaft & 1275 cylinder head (MED RS camshaft), High compression pistons (Omega forged pistons). X-pin differential. Forged con rods. Lightweight flywheel assembly
Aluminium due core radiator , ceramic coated exhaust manifold. X2 1. 1/ 2 inch SU carbs. (Was dyno’d at 78hp @ 6000rpm, but would go more up to 7000rpm. Dyno print off with car)
X2 sets of wheels: X5 Original D1 Dunlops (refurbished & diamond cut). X5 Force racing light weight racing wheels (New in 2017).
The Interior is flawless. Completely new from Newton Uk. Including 70’s bucket seats. Motolita suede steering wheel.
Original subframes which have been blasted, powder coated black, Cooper S hubs/ front discs (servo) rear vented drums.
Exterior excellent , high gloss black roof, Louvered bonnet. Body completely stripped, sand blasted and acid dipped. All panels which needed to be replaced were with heritage panels, stainless bumpers & grill fitted.
I have done 4500klm which includes a 1600klm French trip (July 2017.) Cruises at 60mph and can go quite comfortably to 90mph (100mph on the dyno)
