We are proud to present this particularly fun and very rare classic. Despite the fact that the car was sold in large numbers (from 1935 to 1948), the Morris 8 has become a rare classic. This Morris 8 Series E is from 1946 and is therefore one of the last produced Morris 8. Unique at the time was that the car already had synchronized gears (except first gear). Also a nice detail of this car is the windscreen heating.
The car has an original open (sliding) roof and is in original and neat condition. The still original (!) Engine runs smoothly and smoothly and the gearbox shifts properly. This Morris 8 was delivered new in 1946 by the Morris dealer Westover Garage in Bournemouth. The car arrived in the Netherlands in the 1970s. The car has since been well maintained with an eye for originality. The chairs have recently been completely reupholstered with leather. The headliner is still original. The car was probably repainted in a very distant past, the paintwork is reasonable. However, it does have the beautiful patina from that time. The chrome work is also in good condition. For safety reasons, the previous owner installed additional (classic-looking) turn signals. The original turn signals still work fine.
In summary, this Morris 8 is a very nice, rare and fine driving classic with simple technology. For those who love pure nostalgic driving, this is definitely recommended.
