EXTERIOR
This rare right-hand drive example is finished in magnificent Goodwood Green, an understated colour surprisingly well-suited to the muscular physique of the RS4. The paintwork on this car is very presentable all around, with just a handful of small blemishes to be found, mostly at the front end. Elsewhere the bodywork retains a lovely depth of shine, the light clusters show no signs of any damage or moisture ingress, and all trims still appear in great shape. Not quite a show car, but certainly one to be driven and very much enjoyed.
INTERIOR
The RS4’s cabin is a nice place to be with the Recaro sports seats providing excellent support and comfort. Black Nappa leather is always a fine choice, this upholstery still remaining in good order with no major wear to the bolsters or damage to be found. The dash is lifted with glossy piano black trim, and commonly worn items like the steering wheel and gear knob still present well. The front carpets are beginning to show their age in a couple of places, however the rear footwells and boot area remain very tidy indeed.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Dressed in carbon fibre, the 2. 7-litre V6 certainly looks the part. The twin-turbocharged engine is smooth and refined but, when provoked, provides an exhilarating surge of torque and acceleration to rival even the fastest sports cars. In 2006 this example was fitted with Milltek high flow exhaust cats; the previous MTM 420ps remap was also upgraded to 458ps (dyno readouts are included in the paperwork). The car is accompanied by a great service history, the most recent service having been carried out by Audi at 102k miles. Since arriving at 4 Star we have had a full mechanical inspection carried out; we will also be having a fresh service done prior to sale for the new keeper’s peace of mind.
HISTORY FILE
1 of only 400 right-hand drive examples, this rare Goodwood Green B5 RS4 was first registered in March 2001. It is accompanied by a comprehensive Audi and marque specialist maintenance history, with services carried out at the following mileages: 11k, 20k, 26k, 30k, 40k, 51k, 63k, 67k, 74k, 79k, 91k, and 102k miles. The car also boasts Milltek sports cats and a 458ps power upgrade, costing circa £1, 800 back in 2006. The clutch was replaced in November 2012 at 76, 585 miles.
The History File is complete with the original Audi document pouch, owners’ manuals, stamped service booklet, spare key, and a raft of maintenance invoices and previous MOT certificates.
