Cyclemaster motorised bicycle wheel 1952, 32cc. I bought this recently - it was being sold as a pair with a Raleigh bike and the seller would not sell the bike separately. I particularly wanted the bike so I had to buy the pair. I don't want to put this engine in the bike so it is for sale. It has been refurbished by a retired engineer. I know very little about Cyclemasters but they were very popular in the 50's before people could buy cars. Anyway if you're looking at this ad you probably know a lot more about them than I do. The wheel has been rebuilt and has a new tyre. It has new cables and controls. The engine number is 143812. The engine size for Cyclemasters was changed from 27cc to 32cc in 1952 so it dates from around this time. They can be fitted to more or less any bike and apparently it is a fairly straightforward job but I have no experience of this. Spares for these machines seem to be plentiful and there are many websites out there that can give advice about them. I am selling at quite a bit under the price of a similar engine that was being sold by the same chap.
