For sale is a highly desirable, rare and sought after Phase 2 Peugeot 405 Mi16 (1993) in Cherry Red.
The Mi16 uses a 2. 0L 16Valve Engine coupled to a close ratio 5 speed gearbox. Other features of this model are anti lock brakes, power assisted steering, remote central locking, electric windows all round, electric tilt and slide sunroof and electrically adjustable door mirrors.
The interior is in very good condition however it has suffered a couple of small cigarette burns on the rear seat. The interior has some modern touches like a fold down centre arm rest and audio controls on the steering column. The OEM audio head unit is still present and operational along with a 6 CD Multi changer in the boot. Other features include, height adjustable steering wheel, variable intermittent wipers, temperature controlled ventilation and dimmable dashboard illumination.
The exterior bodywork has age related marks and parking dents as you would expect of a 27 year old car as well as some very minor lacquer peel on the boot spoiler.
The MOT expires at the end of November.
The front suspension has recently had a complete overhaul with new lower arm bushes, front wheel bearings, track rod ends and ball joints along with anti roll bar drop links and bushes. New top mounts have also been fitted. Most parts which were removed to carry out the above were shot blasted and powder coated in gloss black before being refitted.
The original Mi16 15" wheels are also included in the sale. These have 4 fairly new tyres on them in the period correct size. 4 new 215/ 40 Toyo tyres have just been fitted to the 17" wheels currently on the car in the photos.
An original genuine car which has been cared for by myself / previous owners and maintained to a high standard. New battery and wipers fitted in November 2019.
2 Keys are present with the car which operate all locks including the glove compartment.
A very presentable and usable modern classic which attracts a lot of comments and attention.
