Mods:
Only minor modifications to the appearance & engine (all reversible).
Toothed belt & smaller pulley aid low down torque & add a bit to the top end, without stressing engine & charger. No porting has been carried out.
Original factory standard twin V belt pulley setup included in sale.
Guide for removing the charger for inspection/ service/ returning to V-belts included.
The original OEM rear clusters are included.

Negatives:
Car is almost 30 years old & has been driven, therefore not concourse condition.
Front wings are not perfect. Slight surface rust scabs, touched up & very slight ding. But all solid.
2x new pattern wings included & painted Alpine White ready to go on. Body shop could easily refresh, if wanting to keep the originals.
Slight surface scab on lower door & chassis, has been touched up & sealed.
Passenger side sill uneven from jack.
Quarterlight rubbers showing some signs of wear & could do with refresh. (Available on German auction site.)
Passenger wing mirror - clip trim was lost & plastic body trim fractured. Clip & trim & could do with replacing; the mirror is still solid & adjustable from interior. (see pic)
Very slight dings on bonnet & very minor stone chips. Barely noticeable.
Paint is overall 97. 5% decent & always kept clean & polished. No signs of the usual rust around windscreen rubber, base of bonded rear screen or filler neck.
Slight markings/ scratches to black paint on back of rear seat in boot.
Slight scratching to wheel well.
Interior light working, but not on door open.
Slight UV fading to tops of rear bench & tops of door cards.
Slight scuff to front bumper (see pic)
Summary:
Car has been driven & not sat for long periods. Is not perfect (or would be asking a fair bit more) but overall excellent condition for age, inside & out. Mechanically sound, turnkey ready for enjoyment or storage.
Considering is almost 30 years old & the misuse that some of these cars have faced, hard pressed to find a more honest & solid example.
Have kept an eye & most offered are either tatty, neglected or have been modified beyond recognition, compared to this example.
Having owned the car for 7 years, feel I know it inside out, am probably being over critical with the negatives.
Gets a smile & positive comments from other Polo/ VAG owners.
Always warmed up to temperature before driving & always driven/ parked carefully. Stops in a straight line. No overheating issues, charger freshly refurbished.
Starts on the button. Engine is tight & smooth from idle throughout rev range, with pleasing charger whine.
No loss of water or oil & runs very well after fuel/ electrics/ sensor/ cooling overhaul.
Folder of old MOT’s, receipts for work & parts included. Comes with copy of Haynes manual & Digifant diagnostic guide, with information on the ECU & quirks of the system.
Everything included to return to factory original if desired apart from the BBS RA 13" wheels
Fantastic original time-warp interior, with only very slight bodywork detailing needed to make the car outstanding.
Fresh MOT until August 2021 with no advisories.
Having covered just 60k since new, struggle to find a better example of this unusual, modern niche classic hot hatch.
