RHD Volvo P1800 S Project
For Sale on behalf of an elderly gentleman is this RHD 1967 Volvo P1800S project. It is finished in white, with a red interior, like the car in the TV series ‘The Saint.’ The car has been in the same ownership for the last 20 years.
The car has been stored in a garage for 10 years and will require a full restoration but is complete and unmolested with 98, 000 original miles. Pending further investigation the car has the potential to be matching numbers also. It has benefitted from a full rewire due to a small fire accident while in for repairs a few years back. The car runs but due to the perished gaskets and hoses I would not recommend running it for any length of time.
There is rust evident around the front and rear windscreens, both sills, front wings and both valances but is far from beyond repair and the underside is solid. Fortunately, the vehicle was stored with a coating of duck oil so the rust has been prevented to a large extent. There is a large amount of receipts etc. with the vehicle as well.
The fuel gauge doesn’t work, and the interior requires some localised repairs at least, or a full retrim to bring it back to factory vibrance.
In short, this vehicle is a worthwhile investment and is only going up in value, these are a rare sight and project cars are seldom listed for sale. Near offers welcomed.
