Opportunity to buy this extremely rare John Cooper Garages Works Mini Cooper Si. Only 100 of these cars where produced over an 18 month period by John Cooper with the full backing of Rover. This was the first full S model produced by John Cooper Garages since 1971. This Mini Cooper S was not an off the shelf conversion sports kit model added by a dealer but a full blown out of the factory John Cooper Garages 80bhp works car. (sold by John Cooper Garages from new) As mentioned there were only 100 produced and this car comes with numbered chassis plate mounted on the driver's side cross member. This car is totally original. As well as the Single point injection tuned 80bhp 1275cc engine with tuned head. high lift rockers etc. it comes with walnut dash. an extra 3 centred magnolia clocks all signed by John Cooper and the mota-lita steering wheel with again a John Cooper signature etched into the left hand arm.
