Description
Take yourself back to the early 60s! This stunning Morris Mini Minor, finished in orginial Smoke Grey finish has undergone a full rebuild 3 years ago to better than new condition. It was built in January 1962 and delivered a month later to its orginal owner in Bristol. On his death, it was registered to his wife and her death to their daughter. It has never been rusty in it's life - it even has the original subframes fitted, albeit cleaned and repainted. The condition of the car speaks for itself really - it has covered a total of 42, 000 miles from new but the engine and gearbox were totally rebuilt when the car was stripped to the last nut and bolt for its rebuild. It has covered around 1500 miles since.
This car has never been welded. The underside is factory fresh - simply wonderful.
The interior was carfully removed and cleaned so it retains its original patina and is not 'overdone' as some restorations are. Newton carpets have been fitted and under them is shiny painted metal. The only modifications are a brake servo and rear seat belts so the kids can join you on a run out.
There is a full photographic record of the rebuild along with the orginal buff log book, all the old tax discs and service history plus heritage certificate. Being an early car it has all the early features, including door handles, hinged rear number plate, floor solenoid start, early sliding window catches etc.
It is really lovely and never goes out in the rain. To create this kind of resto would cost in excess of £20K.
The car starts on the button each and every time. Absolutely lovely in every way.
