Restored meticulously over past 10 years this a very rare example of a genuine WW2 Willys MB Jeep where all body (201881 clear stamping), chassis (420797 with original chassis plate) and engine (MB 560363 - clear stamping) numbers are correct and matching date of delivery. Willys, unlike Ford, did not allocate matching numbers but sequential analysis and of course the engine casting date shows correct originality.
Fully UK road legal with an age related registration number allocated and displayed. No chosen unit markings are painted. I can help with stencil preparation if requested.
A true wartime Jeep such as this will not be 100% Willys or Ford and indeed I did find a few F marked parts, the hood frame loops for instance, this just adds to it's originality reflecting its journey through wartime workshops. It is however a particularly remarkable example with its own engine chassis body still in place after more than 75 years!
As a true original this is the most desirable category of Jeep available, and an excellent example as well. Believed to have passed to the Greek Army post war, where it gained some graffiti on the steering wheel, before it was imported into the UK around 1980 being registered for the first time in August 1984.
The stated mileage is 2087 as indicated today, bound to be wrong! Expected zero reset after previous engine and mechanical restoration when imported. Starts easily and pulls well in all gears and high/ low ratios and 2/ 4 wheel drive fully functional.
Extensively documented restoration to bare metal, chassis body and nearly all components, chassis found to be excellent, only some small patches needed to tub/ body after shot blasting but not extensive - amazing for 75 years old!

- Engine top and bottom end inspected, cleaned and new Felpro gasket installed.
- Fully functioning original 6V electrical system with completely replaced period correct wiring including connecting the original trailer socket.
- Properly working optional Trico vacuum wipers with new blades and cotton covered flexible pipes fitted.
- New Oil, Filter, spark plugs points and condenser, all axle and gear oils correct and new front hub grease.
- New large capacity period styled battery fitted in 2020.
- Correct combat rims and good tyres - all 5
- All new brake lines, front and master cylinders
- Windscreen replaced with correct LEGAL windscreen laminated safety glass and with dated etchings - this is not the standard laminated safety glass offered generally including by specialists which may not be used legally for windscreens.
