1964 Renault 8 Gordini Recreation built by marque expert Steve Swan for hillclimbing, sprints etc. Brilliant 1. 4 litre R5 crossflow engine built by Renault guru Salv Sacco. Idles happily then revs to 7500rpm producing 147bhp(dyno sheet available). Twin Weber 40 DCOE carbs. Gearbox is a Steve Swan "Big box" with R16 internals and Quaife geared LSD. 6in wide Gotti wheels and Yokohama tyres. Uprated front brakes with ventilated discs and VW calipers. Uprated springs and dampers with nylon suspension bushes. Gordini high ratio steering rack and oil cooler. Built from a bare shell so as good underneath as on top. Just over 700kg so is rapid and has superb grip for the corners.
