2003 Ducati 999R FILA Limited Edition!
Ducati Celebrates its 200th win in the World Superbike Championship with a limited-Edition production run of 200 special version of the Ducati 999R in the official Livery of Team Ducati Fila 2003.
The 999R Fila is an exquisitely crafted machine built with the lightest materials and finest components found anywhere in the world; the Ducati Fila comes in exactly the same colour scheme as the Ducati 999F03 raced in the World Superbike Championship. The Ducati Fila clothing collection also reflects the great sporting tradition of these 2 legendary Italian Brands, DUCATI and FILA.
The 999R model has the same design as the 999 but all the bodywork parts are formed from exotic carbon fiber; the choice of the carbon fiber is in part to reduce the weight which also led to the adoption of magnesium for several components, including the front headlight support.
To finish off the exclusive design of the 999R Fila, there is a limited- edition numbered plate, affixed to the top triple clamp.
Marchesini wheels made from forged aluminium alloy, the brake system consists of discs mounted further outward for better cooling, radial mounted four piston/ four pad brake callipers, brake master cylinders with an integrated reservoir, the 43-millimeter diameter fork stanchions have titanium-nitrite treatment for improved suspension.
The motorbike is registered in South Africa and it’s supplied with it's original paddock stand and Ducati Limited Edition Plaque, showing bike number 110 of 200.
The production number is stamped onto a plate which is affixed onto the bike in line with all Limited Edition Ducati motorcycles.
