Registered new by the Essex County Council to S. Dilley Motors Ltd, 374 Forest Road, E17, London , on the 26th of May 1960 (source - Essex Record Office). This big cat has had a fortune spent on it (piston, rings, clutch parts, gaskets, lock washers, valve guides, valve springs, oil pump parts, screw sets, nuts, bolts, side stand, oil feed pipes, gearbox sprocket, brake shoe springs, seat, wheel rims, exhaust system & too much more to mention). See photographs below showing new piston & clutch. The bike spent all its life in North East London & Essex before coming to Suffolk just a couple of years ago. History is in the form of the original buff logbook, a pile of Panther Owners Club spares advice notes for all the parts, other assorted papers & notes listing work. Comes with a reproduction spares book, a Pitmans 'Book of the Panther' & an Owners Handbook on CD. This fine big single is up & running, it will be for the new owner to finish off any jobs that need doing. Has the latest DVLA V5C registration document, is registered for free road tax & is MOT exempt.
