This is a really neat car, unusual spec.
Its not got the codes in the VIN for it to be a genuine police car but it has the police heavy duty suspension with front and rear anti-roll bars, its got what look like the Police spec 7x15 wheels with the slots in, the police spec ventilated dog dish hub caps.... The engine is a 3. 7 litre "Super Six" which was a slightly more powerful version of the regular slant 6. This one seems to have no emissions gear on it. Runs really nice, quicker and better handling than V8 versions of this car I have owned with the regular civilian spec. Its also got the heavier duty 8. 25" rear axle which makes it ideal if you did want to convert it to a V8 as these cars usually have thw 7. 25" rear end (even the V8 cars)
Its fairly basic spec, manual seat, crank windows etc.
Sensible sized American car thats not too bad on fuel, handles pretty well, looks great and isn't stupid expensive!
I've owned it about 2 years and its had a bunch of bits and bobs. It had a new alterator and regulator just before I got it. I've done new starter motor, new engine mounts, wiper bushings, new ignition lock, neutral safety switch, and four new white wall tyres. Doubtless other stuff.
The car has a glass sun roof but this is now sealed shut as the rain we have been having over winter was awful and it started leaking. Its not getting used much at all, needs to get out and get driven. I was using it as my daily driver and in like 2019 / early 2020 it was going all over the country without any problems.
I fitted a modern Kenwood CD, Bluetooth DAB stereo too.
Needs the odd bit of this and that but its a classic car so you should be expecting that ????
Recent MOT, PLG tax, will be exempt soon from both.
Can Whatsapp walkaround videos and videos of it running. NG11, near Nottingham.
