This is an excellent Sierra RS Cosworth which has been owned by an ‘RS owners club’ family from Stanford, Lincolnshire since 2002.
Included with the car is a huge file of maintenance invoices, related papers and the original service book, which is comprehensively stamped throughout the car’s years. The most recent service at 55, 000 miles in January 2020 included a new timing belt, many components replaced and much mechanical improvement. Thanks to these recent works, this Cosworth drives impeccably well – it is smooth through the gears, sprightly in it’s acceleration and there are no noises from the suspension. Everything feels tight and better than you’d expect it to be even with it’s low mileage.
The paintwork in our opinion is original and at some point in it’s life it was subject to a comprehensive waxoyl underseal. Considering it’s originality on the bodywork, it presents extremely well with very little to no imperfections and the only exception being some small cracks around the windscreen defrost vents – which is not uncommon on Fords.
For anyone wanting to own a Cosworth to drive and enjoy, then we strongly recommend this car and that is not taking away from the quality of the interior and the exterior which is too such a high standard it would grace any collection. It also comes with a brand new MOT which runs out in March 2022
