Chassis 43982BW was manufactured on the 13th of November 1969 and was supplied new to the United States via British Leyland in New York; the Jaguar distributor in North America, on the 12th of January 1970. Finished in light blue with a dark blue interior, and fitted with an automatic box. Having lived in California all of its life, rust free, the car was imported to the UK in 2000 and was converted to a manual right-hand drive car. Throughout its life in the UK the E-Type has seen a huge amount of expenditure, and is presently in very good condition overall. The car was purchased by our client in 2019, to fulfill his dream of owning a Jaguar E-Type. It has resided next to some other top British motor cars and is being sold due to lack of use. Serviced and MOT’d on the 10th of March 2021.
The car comes with inspection reports, MOT’s, invoices and a full history file of its life in the UK.
List of expenditure since 2000;
2000. Thermostat gasket, new 185R15 Avon MK1 93h fitted, new headrests, chrome bezels, rear mounting spring, rear bumper, manifold, water temp sender, mudshields, air cleaner, air intake box, air intake trumpet, set of carburettors, fuel pipe, Californian spec twin Stromberg carbs replaced with UK spec new triple carbs, manual box fitted with overdrive.
2001. New plug leads, new spark plug lead, choke, ignition coil, radio, headshield, fanbelt, water pump, radio console, underdash trays.
2002. Manual gearbox fitted, new ball joint gaitor, new exhaust mounting rubbers, starter, inertia comp.
2003. New switches, new side catches, locking hood.
2004. Fuel pump bracket.
2005. Paint touch up, new sunvisors, aluminium heat barrier, rear wiper arm, vacuum pipe, hoses, brake pipes, pedal lever, h/ pipe set.
2013. Full inspection/ service.
2015. Full inspection/ service.
2016. New bonnet catch.
2019. Front and rear brake discs and pad, bushes, top ball joints, diff gasket, track rod, wheel alignment, new shocks and springs.
2021. Full Inspection/ service.
