We are very pleased to offer an absolute road rocket of a 1977 Austin Mini Clubman 1275 GT. This awesome machine has done nothing but impress me every time I drive it and it really is one I should keep but I cant keep them all so now some lucky person will be the new keeper of a real drivers machine. This is a genuine 1275 GT with only three previous owners, it is accompanied wit ts original passport to service book and was Ziebart wax injected from new. It has been built with an enviable spec list which will be breifly detailed here, but if you want a fast and sexy looking GT that turns heads this may be the Mini for you.
Out on the open road this GT is an amazing experience and a heady fusion of power and sound. It has an A+ block bored out to 1380cc with Omega 73. 5mm pistons, modified crank, Kent 286 cross drilled camshaft, vernier duplex drive, 1:5:1 roller rockers, stage 4 cylinder head, billet EN8 steel flywheel, Maniflow exhaust system all fed through a Weber 45 DCOE carb. The transmission has staright cut roller drop gears, 4 pin diff and 3. 1 final drive. This is an overview of the spec this GT has, however the most important part of all this is how much power and torque this amazing machine has. Power is available right through the rev range and the straight cut gears sing away through a KAD kwick shift. The handling is also sublime with competion rubber cones, Gaz shocks and Hi-Los front and rear, adjustable neagtive camber bottom arms and adustable camber on the rear. This GT also stops very well with a late type dual circuit servo with grooved discs up front and braided hoses all round. Dunlop D1 alloys and Yokohama tyres finish off the look. This car will certainly put a grin on your face!
The interior is very well presented and in keeping with its credentials. Adjustable Cobra bucket seats with a matching rear seat, full length Walnut dash, matching door caps and the original GT instrument binnacle, steering wheel and three auxilary gauges with oil pressure, volts and an analogue clock. It also has a fantastic full lenght Webasto roof which transforms the driving experience on a sunny day.
This GT has a solid shell with the correct vented sills, solid floors and the subframes are like new. The paintwork gleams as does the chrome. This is not a show car so expect the odd minor blemish but it could happily sit on display at any show as it always draws a crowd.
We have fully serviced and checked this GT front to back and it will be supplied with a full MOT and is of course MOT and Tax exmept.
