Elvis has entered the building! He’s our 1978 VW T2 Devon conversion Camper Van with a cool pop top. He has been owned and maintained by us for the last 3 years but sadly he’s not getting as much use as we’d like so it’s time to move him on so someone else can show him some burning love!
Elvis has been looked after mechanically and cosmetically by 181 Classic Motors of Newark and has passed his recent health check with flying colours (unlike his namesake!) Before hitting the big time with us he used to be a “van for hire” and as such had his engine replaced with a powerful 2. 0 fuel-injected petrol engine which shows just over 54, 000 genuine miles. Elvis is not slow! He can quite happily maintain 65-70 on the motorway and pulls away pretty quickly!

• Bench front seat which can be reversed to face into the main cabin enabling 4 people to sit around the table area comfortably.

• Extra rear seat belts fitted (2 over the shoulder & 1 lap belt) meaning 3 can be seated in the back.

As with any van this age, there are some small signs of rust but nothing that detracts from the look of Elvis or the structural integrity of the van. The pop top material also has 2 small holes in it where it was caught in the roof folding mechanism, but these can be repaired quite easily. The cover also has a small rip at the rear (where it covers the boot lid) but in no way affects the use of the cover.
