Rudge for sale
Rudge 250 Radial Sports. First registered on the 3rd May 1934 and still carrying it’s original Swindon registration no., along with it’s ‘buff’ log book. Engine & gearbox numbers are matching (a replacement gearbox case has been used, the original one now repaired and retained). This motorcycle has been the subject of a complete ‘nut & bolt’ restoration over 7+ years, with bills for over £10k. The work has included a complete re-paint, engine, gearbox & clutch rebuild. The forks, ‘linked’ brakes, saddles, electrics, speedometer & carburettor have all been refurbished by specialists, to the highest standard. The original (and working!) magdyno is retained but currently replaced by a rebuilt magneto. It also has new British chrome rims & stainless spokes plus correct Avon ‘Speedmaster’ and ‘SM’ tyres. It has been ridden only 8 miles since restoration.
This beautiful machine comes with a massive history file and photo record of the restoration with every bill kept. Also included in the sale is a parts lists, several repair manuals, handbooks and an almost complete set of R. E. C Journals, going back over 50 years. Also included are some new and used spares. The Rudge was featured in the VMCC Journal for july 2020 and the VMCC 2020 calendar for October.
