Here for sale is my absolutely beautiful S500 Coupe & she's gorgeous! Drives very smoothly, gear changes are silky, 4 good tyres (loads of tread), steering & brakes all good. These Mercedes models are bulletproof!!
This has been my daily driver, very comfortable indeed! This W140 Coupe is a very rare thing these days!! Low mileage examples are selling between £15k-20K. This specific Mercedes appears to be the end of line edition; Very High Specification & Late End of Production (Registered Late 1998).
Comes with a desirable £1, 100 worth of Private Plate, valued by RegTransfers (Best Numberplate Company).
I have the V5 in my name & an invoice paper from Mercedes Stratford. Unfortunately, the previous owner misplaced the Full Service History. However, I believe Mercedes Stratford may be able to track down some history, but can't guarantee this.... at least it is a lead! I have had my local mechanic (who works on the older Mercedes) have a look & she's solid, nice clean oil (great pressure), all fluid levels are good & no leaks, etc. Paintwork is in overall great condition, nice & glossy! Ceramic coated! (a few small age related marks but no dents, it is a 23 years old car!). Doesn't appear it's had any respray work since 1998! Mileage is 184k (absolutely nothing for these Mercs, it'll go to 500k!!)
Improvement points;
- Driver's seat bolster needs some patching - See Picture
- Rust spots on Driver's wing - See Picture (I've been quoted approx £350 for a professional job)
- Needs windscreen/ coolant sensor (£30 to replace)
- Sometimes the Brake Pad light illuminates, I believe it may be a dirty sensor (£30). It has had recent brake pads fitted)
- It has been straight piped which I absolutely love!! Brings out the V8 burble (not too loud though)!! Luckily, it's very easy to put back to original if you desired (any local garage can do this).
I've tried to be as clear and honest as possible. Overall, it is a nice example where everything is working as it should. As mentioned, some little age related things to do so please don't expect perfection!
They are just so cool, I love these cars!! I'm selling as I've taken the plunge & bought a classic Bentley!! May consider part exchange for a Porsche Boxster or Range Rover.
