We are pleased to offer for sale this outstanding 1995 Rover 827 Sterling finished in British Racing Green with contrasting grey leather upholstery & a very low mileage of just 74, 250 miles.
Supplied new on 20/ 09/ 1995 by Lex Rover of Maidenhead to a company in Windsor who retained the car for the first 3 years of its life & subsequently maintained it with Bristol Street Rover in Bournemouth to 37, 783 miles.
Then purchased by a Mr Head of Lincoln on 12/ 06/ 1998 who kept the car for some 22 years in which time he covered just 30, 000 miles !
Following an 8 year period unused in long term dry storage between 2012 - 2020 the car has covered just 300 miles in that time & has recently had some light mechanical recommissioning carried out in November 2020 at 74, 054 miles as well as a new M. O. T, details as follows:
- Cam-Belt & Tensioners Replaced
- New Battery
- New Centre & Rear Exhaust Sections
- Spark Plugs
- Oil & Filter Change
- Gearbox Oil Change
- Wiper Blades
All common areas of concern such as sills, wheel arches & door bottoms are completely free of corrosion & the car doesn't appear to have ever been welded, nor does it require any.
Overall this car is a true testament to its previous owner who clearly took great care of it in every way.
The interior is in remarkable condition with the rear seats looking as good as the day they left the factory 26 years ago, the front seats show very little signs of wear at all & the carpets have all been protected with OE carpet mats therefore are near perfect as you would expect.
The bodywork is again in truly superb condition with nothing more than a few cometic blemishes & certainly no rust whatsoever.
Any true Rover enthusiast will know & appreciate the reliability of the Honda 2. 7 V6 drive train paired with the 4 speed automatic gearbox it really does drive without fault & has lots of power.
The Sterling was exceptionally well equipped & way ahead of its time in terms of technology with Electric Everything, Cruise Control, Climate Control, Full Leather Interior to name but a few.
All aspects of originality remain present such as all owners manuals, stamped service booklet, radio manual, both sets of original keys with remote fobs & the car still wears its original supplying dealer number plates which are in perfect condition.
Current M. O. T runs to November 2021 however we will supply the car with a full 12 months ready for the new owner.
