VOLKSWAGEN LT28 Panel Van, 1986. 2. 4L 6 Cylinder petrol. 72, 500 genuine miles. Excellent condition, mostly original. One owner from new, for the last 35 years, until February this year when it was transferred to me in order to complete its re-furbishment from being in storage since 2007. I have known the previous owner for 20 years and recently took on the project as a hobby pastime. Lots of work just completed, nearly £3, 000 spent; Engine - Cylinder head overhauled (skimmed and new valve guides, re-cut valve seats, re-shimmed), new head gasket, cam belt assembly, water pump and alternator drive belt, all new gaskets and seals. Restored camshaft cover. New radiator, oil and filters, new brake hoses and brake fluid. New fuel filter and new battery. Engine is very smooth and it drives beautifully. Minor bodywork repairs completed. Original wheels re-furbished and all brand new tyres. MOT’d until mid March 2022 with no outstanding advisories. There is some minor age related wear to the drivers seat and the drivers mirror is cracked. Both door mirrors have seen repairs and ideally could do with being replaced at some point. The van is in very good condition for it’s 35 years, it is structurally sound and the engine is as good as it’s ever been. The van does have one or two knocks to the bodywork but is still very tidy. Perfect candidate for an easy campervan conversion. Comes with some spare parts, loads of history and mots, receipts, original purchase presentation pack and quote, owners instruction and service pack, manuals including a Volkswagen comprehensive garage workshop manual, MOT and V5C.
