Build Specification
Body –
• 1992 Evo 1 Shell with holmologation - bought from North West Integrale in Chester.
• stripped back to bare metal in 2002 on underside and floorpan all sound deadening and seam sealer removed for rustproofing and for lightening all minor rust repairs required undertaken at this stage
• Wax oiled and rust protected cavities for longevity.
• Double plated front chassis legs and front bulkhead and A pillars with attention to known weak points and seam welding to increase main structure and front end rigidity
• Abarth style internal plates around A pillars for strengthening
• Continuous seam welded chassis sections across the front section and engine bay
• Stitch welded seams for the rest of the interior and rear suspension turrets
• OMP bolt in cage FIA spec fitted then welded in using specially built A and B Pillar mounts.
• Driver and passenger have FIA approved roll cage padding protection
• Additional cross bracing added at rear suspension turrets, B Pillar back and forward from A pillar to tie into front turrets
• Further triangulation and rear supports added
• Removable cage door beams - to assist with fitting of different width seats
• A and B Pillar uprights and header rails tied into bodyshell for further integrity
• New non sunroof roof skin fitted - rear section of roof base stripped back no rust found so rustproofed with Wax oil - known rust spot
• All non essential body parts clips tabs fittings and trim removed for weight saving and access to engine and ancillaries
• GP A style carbon fibre wing mirrors to replace standard items
• Full body external and internal seam respray in Fiat 339 light Blue
• Front grille plastic replaced with wire mesh as per Final Edition models
• Retained OE low centre of gravity fuel tank - no need for in car rear bulkheads - standard tank was fine for tarmac sprints
• Removal of front wheel arch liners for ease of engine access and the ability to clean and check properly
• External electric fire extinguisher button and Ignition battery kill switch aperture - fire switch not connected and battery kill pull not currently fitted - 10 mins to do this
• Battery located to rear of car with its own battery box - power relay for fuel pump
• Delete of standard heater and fan assembly to reduce weight and aid access to engine ancillaries - heater/ coolant re routed - Now has a specially made heater unit with external air duct - water pipes not currently connected
• All suspension arms , fittings, brackets etc., stripped and repainted or re plated during rebuild in 2002/ 3
• Rear Diff Carrier stripped and seam welded for additional strength
• Removal of all sound deadening material and seam sealer
• Headlamp units mounted back 1. 5 cm as per group A to allow for further airflow through engine bay.

Engine –
• Complete rebuild with assistance of Nick Bartlett/ Integrale developments at his workshops in Cheshire
• 1995cc block re bored to 40 thou over standard honed chemical cleaned and fitted with new core plugs where needed and 0. 5mm skim to deck
• Standard forged crank with 1+ oversize pistons
• Steel con rods shot peened by Metal Improvement Company - BAE systems supplier - to Williams F1 spec - 7 times strength
• ARP fasteners for con rods and crank big ends
• Specially manufactured TK Precision Head guide studs with ARP fasteners
• Removal of balance shafts replaced by Integrale Developments blanking kit with idler bearing and oil way inserts
• New high output cooling piston spray nozzles
• Group A High pressure oil pump
• BMW M3 oil cooler - original one available
• New thermostat and housing
• Integrale Developments high lift long duration fast road exhaust and race inlet cam 11mm lift
• Adjustable alloy vernier pulleys - currently fitted with standard Pulley - adjustable ones come with the car
• Modified camshaft drives for easy fitting of cam belt - part of balance shaft delete
• EVO engineering 4 branch equal length tubular manifold - ceramic coated on inside and externally by Camcoat Warrington - currently fitted with standard 16v log type, another 4 branch manifold is be included
• Garrett GT28 GT ball bearing turbo with integrated waste gate on a T3 flange for high boost (450bhp if required) and quick spool up
• Evo 2 turbo elbow connecting to a Blue Flame custom made 75mm Stainless Steel exhaust system with single high capacity back box - designed to be under the UK circuit Db levels for track work
• Fitted with 4 wire wide band lambda sensor
• Walkers Engineering cylinder head mild gas flow with new guides sodium cooled valves and 3 angle valve seats
• Oil filter body modified with fittings for larger oil cooler and manually activated Accusump oil pressure recovery system - Accusump not currently fitted
• Engine Managed by Motec M4 Pro with Motec engine loom, 4 wire wide band Lambda on a closed loop system - adjustable boost control - Easy mapping via quick lambda function - laptop with maps included in the sale
• Hi pressure Bosch in tank fuel pump, Sytec fuel filters, pressure gauge and adjustable fuel pressure rail
• Siemens 900 cc hi flow injectors - good for 600bhp plus if required
• Engine lightened with the delete of unnecessary brackets, covers and ancillaries, such as idle control valve as this is handled by the ECU
• Single Webber 3 bar map sensor and Bosch or Webber Marelli engine sensors
• Standard intercooler with tilt back modification for straight run to turbo
• Blue Samco top and bottom hoses
• Water spray kit for intercooler - utilising homologised EVO 1 pressure switch, custom rear water tank and hi pressure pump to 3 hi mist intercooler nozzles - tank is not currently fitted
• Bailey alloy dump valve to replace the standard item available
• Quick release Radiator mounts - for standard EVO radiator
• Dual cooling fans mounted to push air through - currently controlled by water temp - can be controlled by Motec allows for large exhaust manifold
• BMC F1 Air Filter mounted in separate Alloy Cool box with air feed via headlamp
• Goodridge hoses and alloy fittings used where needed
• Wasted spark ignition system utilising PSA coil pack can be converted to coil on plug if required

Clutch –
• Alcon 5 paddle racing clutch with Group A high clamp force clutch cover - new release bearing supplied by Walkers
• New slave and master cylinder with braided hoses and delete of the pulse reducing valve
• 2020 New upgraded slave and master cylinder
• 2020 Group A upgraded slave cylinder bracket

Gearbox –
• Standard 5 speed plus reverse gearbox re-built by Prestocar - 2002 with high grade steel gearbox plate to prevent case distortion and 3rd gear separation
• Modified planetary gears to handle the extra torque
• Front Viscous LSD uprated to 300Nm by Barra Motor sport for improved front end grip and track drivability -
• Evo 1 Standard split 53 rear 47 front
Short shift conversion with alloy knob and fresh link bushes at selector end.

Suspension –
• BC Racing coil over set up with adjustable front top mounts, damping and ride height
• 2. 5 inch coils springs fast road fitted with many options available for soft to full race - currently utilising soft assister springs on the adjustable platforms
• Presotcar castor adjuster kit fitted to front wishbones
• EVO plated front suspensions arms all round
• Modified Front anti roll bar drop links incorporating heavy duty rod ends and spherical bearings in rubber seals much stronger than the standard known weak spot
• Profelx bushes on suspension arms
• Standard front and rear anti roll bar
• Rear Diff Cage and OMP lower strut bar -
• Custom built Alloy rear top strut bar -
• Standard EVO 1 front strut top bar
• Seam welded strengthened diff carrier

Rear axle –
• Rebuilt rear diff with factory LSD setting correct shims and newly fitted crush drive re torqued using a rolling torque gauge (2010 by Nick Bartlett

Brakes –
• Removal of ABS system, pump/ servo, sensors and ECU
• Front 380 mm Brembo cross drilled and vented discs with 4 pot calipers, bells and brackets custom manufactured by BG Design of Bromsgrove
• Rear 340 mm Brembo cross drilled and vented discs with 4 pot calipers again bells and brackets custom manufactured by BG Design of Bromsgrove
• standard EVO rears brake set up as UK MOT requires this
• All brake lines specially built goodridge braided hoses from standard EVO1 master cylinder with cadmium plated fittings
• AP brake balance valve behind drivers seat to comply with UK MSA Sprint and Hill climb regs
• Hydraulic handbrake with additional mechanical link for UK MOT compliance -
• OE set up for UK MOT requirements comes with vehicle
• AP Racing hi spec 600 brake and clutch fluid

Wheels –
• 17 x 8 ET15 five stud Compomotive TH2 WRC race wheels recently powered coated and checked over by Prestige Wheels in Erdington
• New wheel bearings and hub nuts
• Stud conversion for ease of wheel changing
• Yokahama Prada track tyres fitted 2020

Electrics –
• Lightweight Motec Engine loom with all options data logging and 4 wire lambda control and further digital outputs
• Reduced weight car loom with non essential elements removed for weight saving and ease of access
• Lifeline Electric fire extinguisher system Pro 2000 with arming control box assembly - not currently installed ready to be re fitted if required with a range of hoses and nozzles
• Additional direct fuel pump power supply with relay
• Updated car wiring and earths for reliability

Interior –
• Flock covered dashboard for anti glare professionally done by Banbury flocking suppliers to McLaren
• Removal old glove box lock and facility for mounting Motec ECU for easy access
• Quick shift ( high level) aluminium gear lever with knurled aluminium gear knob from a lotus
• Standard instrument cluster
• Additional 2. 5 bar boost gauge
• Delete of radio and speakers
• Fire extinguisher remote and battery kill switch
• Driver and co driver race harnesses in blue FIA spec 3 point with twist quick release - standard inertia reel belts still fitted for road journeys
• Sparco 2 spoke deep dish wheel with centre marker
• Currently fitted with Recaro high back seats with slide and recline for the wider bodied driver - same as EVO 2 High backs but in blue and grippier
• Prestocar supplied rally spec clutch and brake pedal box, reinforced with strengthened pedal brackets and accelerator and non slip pedal covers

Bumpers –
• Original EVO 1 OE Bumpers
• Removed heavy metal rear mounts and polyester padding ( weight saving plus they fill up with water and crud)
• Front bumper adapted to facilitate additional front mounted cooling fans

Bonnet –
• Standard Metal OE EVO bonnet with black powder coated vents
• Removal of catches, and fitment of quick release external pins
• Removal of sound deadening material

Rear Hatch –
• Removal of rear wash wipe and motor for lightness

Doors –
• Conversion to front window winding windows for lightness
• Sound deadening removed along with fabric trim panels
• Removal of window motors and central locking solenoids and wiring
• Removal of heavy door check mechanism
