Stunning Triton Green metallic TR7 Convertible. I bought the car from friend in 1990 and it's been part of the family for 31 years. It underwent an extensive full restoration that took several years and was recommissioned in 2013. Work included stripping to the bare tub, blasting and extensive fabrication and welding in of new panels. The underside is completely rot free.
The 2. 0L engine is the original, however it was rebuild with the 16V cylinder head to the Sprint specification.
Almost every component has been replaced, reconditioned or uprated to create an extremely useable, reliable and capable car. Some of the highlights:
Full stainless steel sports manifold and exhaust.
Front brakes uprated with TR8 calipers & discs.
Braided brake hoses.
Uprated springs & adjustable SPAX front and back.
Polybushes fitted all round.
Electronic Ignition.
Kenlow Electric Fan,
Nearly new Vreidstein Quadtrac tyres.
Freshly fitted plugs, pads, oil & filter. Fresh MOT and now eligible for tax and MOT exemption as over 40 year old.
The car is not concourse, however it is solid and very presentable. There are a few blemishes as the restoration is now 10 years old and the driver seat bolster has worn through but replacements are now available.
Will be very sorry to see it go. If you are in the market for a nice TR7 you won't be disappointed.
