Beschreibung
The Societa Italiana Auto Trasformazioni Accessori had decided to go into car manufacturing in 1948 and their first model was the Siata Amica. In 1948 this was followed by the production of the model 300BC barchetta, which was a far more sporty and lighter model.
Around 50 cars were made and most of them came with FIAT 1100 engines or without an engine in order to be exported to the USA.
In the USA most buyers/ racers fitted their cars with the popular Crosley 750cc engine for their small bore airfield races.
This car most likely left the works without an engine and it was discovered in the US with the 1100 cc FIAT engine fitted.
In 2007 the Siata returned to Italy and then had various successive owners.
In 2016 this car was bought by a classic car restorer who intended the car for himself. But after a few years he decided to give the car a comprehensive restoration and bring the car to excellent condition and correct specifications.
Today the car is in beautiful condition and performs very well.
It is ready for a new owner and it should be welcome for the major rallies or show-events.
