UK registered, age related plate for 1951, last year with girder forks, matching numbers, and restored by Garletti Moto in Verona, I have had this bike for a couple of years but only finally got it UK registered in March 2021 due to Covid and DVLA . It has a VMCC dating certificate, and Gilera Regisstro Storico dating with gold plaque. See the excellent video Classic motorcycles-Italy on you tube narrated by Timothy Spall , Saturno is at the end at 22. 45 approx.
.. Known as the Italian Goldstar and certainly is quick and with good brakes. for this 500cc bike.
I"ve estimated the mileage as they do not come with a speedometer for the purposes of the advert.
The carb has just been serviced with new mains jet and is in very good condition, however I hear an upgrade to the new Amal 928 which looks period is a big improvement. The bike needs a good service, and perhaps timing, starts well,. New throttle fitted . Comes with a English translated version of the workshop manual, and an original logbook
The bike looks stunning and is in very good condition, comes with original key switch, as there is a patent one on there at present. Old story too many bikes and I need the space . Hence the very good price offered. around £4k short of their true worth. Price is as stated , no near offer.
