Here is a very special 1982 Toyota Starlet KP61 period correct, running a race built 1342cc Toyota 4K.
The car was Purchased on Oct 1982 from Sidcup Toyota UK and remained in the same gentleman’s ownership for 28 years until 2010. The original owner returned every year to a Toyota Main Dealer for its annual service until 2006 when he sadly fell ill and could no longer use the car. I was then fortunate enough to purchase the car in 2013.
The car has covered 81, 491 miles in which 2, 471 miles of my ownership, I have an extensive file that will be presented to the new owner which includes, the original sales brochures and owner’s manual, 3 x fully stamped service books, old tax discs including the original 1983 tax disc which is displayed in the car. Every receipt which was part of the new race built 4k engine the car is currently running. The car has had no welding, all of its original registration etched glass and interior in place, all original and correct engine bay stickers and even the 1982 number plates! Not one non-factory hole has been made in the engine bay or the interior which is in standard GL trim!
In 2014 the number matching fully Toyota Main Dealer Serviced 1300cc (Toyota 4K) engine was removed and placed in storage (this will be included in the sale.) I sourced a second Toyota 4k donor engine that was removed from a retired Racing Starlet “mod c” Overall Hotrod. This donor engine was then complete restored and rebuilt for the road using a balance of OEM parts and high-end exclusive performance parts.
The car has coilover suspension, performance brakes(2019) and all the associated upgrades such as, electric fuel pump, uprated cooling system with electric fan, electronic ignition, breather system, rev limiter and engine monitoring systems. The engine is fully race tuned, balanced and rolling road set up.
Now these are very rare cars and even more so in stock trim and with a tuned Toyota 4k engine, parts where sourced all over the world.
