Hi thanks for looking.
This is my 1967 Raleigh RM5 Supermatic I have owned it for about 8 years, and I have been using it for the last 3 years or so.
This is the modal where the engine swings in the frame so allowing variable gearing like in modern scooters, so this needs less LPA (leg powered assistance) on hills and pulling away etc.
It has front and rear suspension and has rear foot pegs to carry passengers.
This is MOT and tax exempt however I got an MOT done to make sure it road worthy, its showing 5256 miles on the speedo but this will rise as I am still using it.
It rides nice does over 30mph on the flat more downhill.... and everything works including the lights, original horn and speedo.
The breaks are amazing better than modern mopeds.
I have used it for a few local runs and shows and gets more attention than the Harleys etc. with things like "I used to have one of them"
The tires have plenty of tread, it has a rack fitted which also allows the fitment of saddle bags if you have any.
Condition is pretty good ideal for restoration or use as is with its all over patina.
I bought it with the right hand side panel missing which is why its a different colour but it is metal not a fiberglass aftermarket one.
Bad points: it often dont tick over well, I never looked into it to be fair as I just hold it on the throttle at the traffic lights, so may need a tweak also not looked and the points in a couple of years so may be dew an adjust or clean but as it runs so well leave it alone in my opinion dont fix what aint broke lol
V5c in my name I also have a certification certificate form the National Autocycle club and its last 2 MOT's (not that it needs them), it was reregistered last year on this current age related registration.
These are becoming rare and collectable so get one while you can
Its located off junction 4a of the M3 if you wish to come look or test ride.
NOTE, the bike bell with the smiley face is mine and will be removed as will the tool kit (its not a Raleigh one, just stuff from my tool box)
I have a friend that may be able to deliver, ask for more info.
Thanks for looking.
